Gwen is a multimedia artist. She is a composer, musician, filmmaker, and metalsmith. She is currently based in and studies at Oberlin, OH, where she majors in TIMARA (Technology in Music and Related Arts) and works closely with students in Cinema and Dance. With a background in classical cello and composition, she has transitioned to making multimedia electronic art in recent years and is currently obsessed with hyperpop and unnecessarily long minimalist electroacoustic pipe organ music. She frequently performs electronic music and will continue to do so until she dies.
Gwen's current work involves themes of stark contrasts, transness, and self-determination. Her art often pits sparseness and rich complexity against each other with little in between. Her music fits into the genres of ambient/drone, noise, and hyperpop, and she is inspired by artists in those realms such as Claire Rousay, Sarah Davachi, Uboa, Sophie, and Charli-XCX.
